Add a video or files to an Information Pack

You can include one video and supporting files in an Information Pack. Media is optional: a named pack with a complete message can be ready without it.

Check the limits

  • Video: one file, up to 120 MiB. Supported file extensions are MP4, MPEG, MPG, AVI, MOV and WebM.

  • Duration: the recorder stops at 300 seconds (5:00). Video validation allows a small duration tolerance through 305 seconds (5:05).

  • Documents: PDF, DOCX, XLSX or CSV, up to 20 MiB per file.

The file must contain valid supported content. Renaming an unsupported file's extension does not convert it.

Upload or record a video

To use an existing file, select Upload video and choose the file.

To record a video:

  1. Select Record a video, then Start recording.

  2. Allow camera and microphone access if your browser asks.

  3. Select Stop recording, or let the recorder reach its limit.

  4. Play the recording to review it.

  5. Select Use video.

If recording is unavailable, check browser permissions or use Upload video.

Use Replace to choose a different video. Use the video's remove control to leave it out of the pack. Only one video can be included at a time.

Add or replace documents

Select Add file and choose your documents. To replace a document, remove the old file and add its replacement.

Wait for preparation to finish, then use the preview to check the video and download the attachments.

Understand upload and preparation

Uploading means the file is still transferring. Preparing video… or Preparing… means it is being checked and prepared for use. Upload completion, a visible preview image, and a saved template do not by themselves mean that media is ready.

Preparation time varies. A larger or more demanding video may take longer; there is no universal completion time. Sending stays unavailable while an included file is incomplete or has failed.
