Welcome to Gymfluence! Here's everything you need to get set up and understand how the app works.
What Is Gymfluence?
Gymfluence is not just another fitness app — it's a structured accountability system, built around one idea:
Consistency — not perfection — is what creates lasting results.
Your coach sets weekly targets for you. You log how you're doing each day. At the end of every week, you submit a short review. Your coach reads it, sends personalised feedback, and adjusts your targets if needed. Then a new week begins.
No guesswork. No generic plans. Just a weekly rhythm that keeps you and your coach in sync — and keeps you moving forward.
What You Get
Personalised daily targets — calories, macros, steps, and exercise set by your coach
A weekly feedback loop — your coach reviews your data and responds every single week
Automatic data sync — steps, weight, and nutrition come in from Apple Health or Health Connect
A direct line to your coach — message anytime, response within 24–48 hours
Progress tracking — weight trends, streaks, and a score that shows how you're doing
How It Works: The Core Loop
Everything in the app connects back to four concepts.
1. The Adherence Week
A 7-day cycle that starts the day your plan begins. Everything — your targets, your check-ins, your coach's feedback — is organised around Adherence Weeks, one week at a time. Long enough to show real patterns, short enough for your coach to course-correct before things go off track.
2. Your Daily Pulse
A quick daily check-in, under 30 seconds. You tell the app how you're feeling — that's it. It's the most important daily habit in the app, giving your coach a window into how you're really doing, not just the numbers.
3. Your Adherence Week Review
At the end of each Adherence Week, you submit an Adherence Week Review — a summary of your full week. Most of the data is pre-filled from your logs, so it takes about 5 minutes. This is the one thing that's mandatory every week — miss it, and your coach is coaching blind.
4. Coach Feedback
Within 48 hours of your Adherence Week Review, your coach reviews your data and sends personalised feedback. You'll be notified the moment it arrives.
Daily Pulse each day → Adherence Week Review at week's end → Coach feedback within 48 hours → New Adherence Week. That's the whole system.
We recommend enabling notifications so you never miss coach feedback, Adherence Week Review reminders, or important updates from Gymfluence.
Getting Started
Step 1: Create Your Account
Sign up using any of the following:
Email with a one-time passcode (OTP)
Google Sign-In
Facebook Sign-In
Apple Sign-In
Step 2: Complete Your Profile
You'll answer a few questions when you first sign up. Be honest — your coach uses this to set the right targets from day one.
Question | Why It Matters |
Date of birth and gender | Used to calculate your baseline metabolism |
Height and weight | Helps your coach personalise your calorie targets |
Activity level | Determines how many calories you burn daily |
Fitness goal | Fat loss, muscle gain, or maintenance — your targets are built around this |
Exercise frequency | How often you currently do strength training and cardio |
Dieting experience | Beginner, intermediate, or advanced — affects how your progress is tracked |
Dietary preferences & allergies | Ensures your targets work with your lifestyle |
Step 3: Connect With Your Coach
Your coach will send you an invitation link. Click it and you'll be automatically connected.
Your coach can see your profile and goals
They'll set your first week's targets
Your targets appear in the app and your first Adherence Week begins
Your coach may adjust your calories, macros, steps, or exercise at any point during your journey as your progress changes — your plan is a starting point, not a fixed rulebook.
Connecting Your Health Data (Optional but Recommended)
Gymfluence can sync automatically with your phone's health platform, so your weight, steps, and nutrition macros (protein, carbs, fats) come in without manual entry — including from fitness and nutrition apps you may already use, as long as they're connected to Apple Health or Health Connect.
You're always in control — you can connect, disconnect, or change permissions at any time. If manual logging works better for you, that's completely fine too.
Why Connect?
Save time — weight, steps, and nutrition sync automatically
Improve accuracy — your coach sees consistent, up-to-date data
Reduce manual logging — focus on your plan, not data entry
How to Connect on iPhone (Apple Health)
Open the Apple Health app
Tap your profile icon (top right)
Go to Apps → Gymfluence
Turn on access for Weight, Steps, Protein, Carbohydrates, and Fat
Tap Allow
Tip: Apple Health only shares data that already exists — make sure your iPhone, Apple Watch, or nutrition app is recording weight, steps, and nutrition into Apple Health first.
How to Connect on Android (Health Connect)
Open Health Connect (built in on Android 14+, or install from Play Store)
Go to App Permissions
Select Gymfluence
Allow access to Weight, Activity (Steps), and Nutrition
Confirm access
Note: Health Connect doesn't track data itself — it pulls data from apps like Google Fit, Samsung Health, or your nutrition app. Make sure those apps are connected to Health Connect.
Your Privacy
Gymfluence can only read the data you approve — weight, steps, and nutrition macros. It cannot modify your health data, access unrelated health information, or see anything you haven't explicitly allowed.
If Something Doesn't Sync
Check that permissions are enabled
Confirm your tracking app is writing data to Apple Health / Health Connect
Try reconnecting the integration
If issues continue, Gymfluence support can help
Your Weekly Rhythm
Here's what a typical Adherence Week looks like:
When | What You Do |
Every day | Log your Daily Pulse (30 seconds). Data syncs automatically — review and confirm. |
During the week | Hit your daily targets: calories, macros, steps, and exercise. Log anything not captured automatically. |
End of the week | Submit your Adherence Week Review (~5 minutes). Most data is pre-filled — review, add notes, submit. |
Within 48 hours | Your coach sends personalised feedback. You'll get a push notification when it's ready. |
New Adherence Week | Fresh targets go live. The cycle resets — do it again. |
First week tip: it's about getting familiar, not being perfect. Log what you can, submit your first Adherence Week Review on time, and let your coach take it from there.
Your Dashboard
Your home screen — everything in one place:
Adherence Matrix — a visual overview of your logged data versus your targets, showing your consistency pattern for the week: what you hit, what you missed, and where to focus
Targets — your daily goals for calories, macros, steps, and exercise, set by your coach and updated whenever your plan changes
Adherence Week Countdown — shows how many days are left in your current Adherence Week and when your review is due
Logging Your Data
Most of your data comes in automatically. Here's how each type works.
Steps & Weight
Both sync automatically from Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android)
If a synced value looks wrong, tap it and enter the correct number — your override is what your coach sees
Weigh at the same time each day, ideally in the morning before eating, for the most consistent trend
Your coach looks at your weight trend over time, not any single weigh-in
Nutrition
If you use a food tracking app connected to Apple Health or Health Connect, your macros sync automatically — otherwise, log manually
A tolerance range is built in — close is good enough, don't stress the occasional amber
Exercise
Tap Log → Exercise to record a session
Choose strength or cardio, and enter the duration
Weekly exercise targets are labelled A, B, C — complete them any day
Did something not on the plan? Tap "I did something else" to log it as an extra session
You can log past dates if you forgot — but not future ones
Your Adherence Week Review
The most important thing you do each week. Takes about 5 minutes, and most of it is pre-filled — you're reviewing, not starting from scratch. Here's what it covers:
Your weight day by day — pre-filled, review and confirm
Your steps for the week
Your sleep quality
Your nutrition for the week
Your mood across the week
Your workouts completed
Progress photos — always optional, always your choice
Your energy levels
Any notes or feedback for your coach
Common Questions
Do I need a food tracking app?
No — you can log your nutrition manually at any time.
What if I miss a day?
Just continue tomorrow. One off day doesn't undo your progress.
What if I forget my Adherence Week Review?
No problem — the new Adherence Week starts automatically. Just continue logging and submit your next Adherence Week Review.
Can I change my targets?
Only your coach can adjust your targets — message them if something feels unrealistic.
Can I log exercise later?
Yes — you can log past dates if you forgot, but not future ones.
Do I have to connect Apple Health or Health Connect?
No, but it's recommended — it saves time and gives your coach more accurate data.
Messaging Your Coach
Use messages for:
Questions
Clarifications
Quick updates
Use your Adherence Week Review for:
Progress summaries
What went well or didn't
Bigger reflections
This split helps your coach support you better — quick things stay quick, and bigger context lands where it's actually reviewed.
What Success Looks Like
A successful first week does not mean:
Hitting every target
Feeling perfect
Changing everything at once
It does mean:
Showing up most days
Completing your Adherence Week Review
Reading your coach's feedback
That's a win.
